The holiday season is almost upon us, and what better way to celebrate than by supporting local businesses with the Festive Fiver? This exciting campaign, running from 23rd November to Christmas Eve, 24th December, encourages businesses in Bridge of Allan to offer a special product or service for just £5. It’s a fantastic opportunity to spread holiday cheer, find unique gifts, and encourage the community to shop local.
What is the Festive Fiver?
The Festive Fiver is designed to bring festive deals to customers while supporting our fantastic local businesses. Participating businesses across Bridge of Allan are invited to create a special £5 offering. Customers attracted by the Festive Fiver campaign offer an opportunity for upselling and for additional higher spend when in-store. The goal is to drive additional footfall to participating businesses.
How Does It Work?
The campaign is open to all businesses in Bridge of Allan, regardless of sector. Simply come up with an idea for a £5 product or service, register with us, and we’ll add you to the list of participating businesses. You may choose to offer a selection of items, for example “Five for a Fiver”, or choose a particular range of items for inclusion, but one offering is enough if that fits your business model.
Here are just a few ideas of ways your business could get involved:
1. Pharmacy: Toiletry set, mini first-aid kit, lip balm trio, or vitamins.
2. Hardware Shop: Key cutting, measuring tape, small hand tools, picture hangers, seed packets, plant pots, or decorative stones.
3. Gift Shop: Selection of mugs, small candles, or festive decorations.
4. Clothing Shop: Cozy socks, winter gloves, or children’s mittens.
5. Café: Coffee and cake combo, takeaway hot chocolate, or festive cookies.
6. Beauty Salon: Voucher for nail polish application or quick brow shaping.
7. Bakery: Small loaf, festive cupcake, mince pies, or gingerbread.
8. Florist: Mini potted plants, festive bunches, or single-stem roses.
9. Jewellery Seller: Bracelet charms, dainty earrings, or ring cleaning service.
10. Pet Shop: Pet treats, small toys, or grooming vouchers.

19. Wine & Spirits Shop: Mini wine bottles, gin tasters, or beer cans.
20. Optician: Lens cleaning kit, glasses chain, or case.
21. Ice Cream Seller: Winter-themed ice cream, sundae cups, or waffle cone set.
22. Housewares Shop: Tea towels, spatulas, or festive kitchen cloths.
23. Brewery: Branded pint glasses, mini keg samples, or tasting vouchers.
24. Fitness Class Provider: Guest pass, yoga mat towel, or water bottle.
25. Baby Boutique: Baby bibs, small toys, or organic lotion samples.
26. Visitor Attraction: Voucher for entry or miniature prints of artworks.
27. Spa/Wellness Centre: Mini massage balm, bath bomb, or aromatherapy roller.

33. Indian Takeaway: £5 starter special, such as samosas or pakoras.
How to Join the Festive Fiver
Participating is easy! Just fill out the registration form below, and we’ll take care of the rest. This is your chance to showcase what makes your business special and attract new customers over the festive season.
Each registered business will receive:
- A Festive Fiver poster to display, letting customers know they’re a part of the campaign.
- A spot on our online Festive Fiver Map, so shoppers can easily locate all the exciting £5 deals in town.
- FREE promotion across social media and anywhere we can shout about our fantastic businesses
Together, we’ll encourage people to shop local, explore Bridge of Allan, and support our vibrant business community during the busiest time of year.
The campaign launches on Christmas Lights Switch-on day, Saturday 23rd November. You have until close of business on Tuesday 5th November EXTENDED TO 15th NOVEMBER to register and to be included in the campaign. You can register in advance of choosing your items, so long as you are ready for the launch on 23rd November. Have a great season!
